Dheisheh is one of three Palestinian refugee camps in Bethlehem, and it was created in 1949 to accommodate displaced Palestinians from more than 45 villages west of Jerusalem. The people of Dheisheh are extraordinary. Despite poor living conditions, they have a very high level of education; they are resistant, resilient, and good-humored.
