The Beit Sahour (بيت ساحور) kufiya represents the dark rich soil of the town, located in a valley outside Bethlehem. Christian tradition holds this small town to be the site of the Shepherds Field, the place in biblical scripture where the angels announced the birth of Jesus of Nazareth to the shepherds.

What is Hirbawi Kufiya like?

Oh...Soft cotton. Most likely the biggest you can find, 47” by 47”, which is over 15 sq. ft. of awesomeness. Made on a custom kufiya loom and finished by hand.

I absolutely love my Hirbawi Beit Sahour Kufiya. The craftsmanship is excellent and the black and brown colors are beautiful together. It’s warm but not too warm and now that it’s worn in a bit it’s perfectly soft. I love that I get to support Palestine in two different ways with this kufiya and I’ve already preordered a traditional black and white one. I can’t recommend Hirbawi enough but I don’t think I have too. If I’ve convinced you to purchase your own kufiya then you’ll have to hop on the waiting list to get alerted when a new batch of kufiyas are available and cross your fingers you see the email before they sell out again.
