Sheikh Jarrah, a neighborhood in East Jerusalem, is a place that has become synonymous with the struggle of Palestinian families against eviction and displacement. For generations, these families have lived in the area and have strong ties to the land and the community. They have built their homes, raised their children, and created memories in Sheikh Jarrah.

However, in recent years, the Israeli courts have sided with Israeli settlers who seek to take over these homes and land. This has left the Palestinian families in Sheikh Jarrah facing eviction orders and uncertain futures. The situation has caused great distress and anxiety for these families, who fear losing their homes and being forced out of their community.

Situation in Sheikh Jarrah is not just a legal dispute, but a deeply emotional and personal one. It represents yet another attempt by Israel to erase Palestinian presence in East Jerusalem and expand its settlements. It is a violation of their human rights and a threat to their cultural heritage.

Despite the challenges they face, the Palestinian families in Sheikh Jarrah have shown great resilience and determination in their struggle. They have been joined by Palestinians from across the West Bank and Gaza Strip, as well as by activists and supporters from around the world, who stand in solidarity with their cause.

It is important for the international community to understand the human cost of the situation in Sheikh Jarrah and to take action to protect the rights of Palestinian families. This includes holding Israel accountable for its violations of international law and human rights, and supporting the efforts of Palestinians to resist displacement and assert their right to self-determination.

More beautiful in person

I wasn't sure how I would feel about the color from the picture. It's so bright and beautiful in person. I dyed a scarf the same shades of blue and green when I was younger. I feel like this was meant to be mine. There's nothing like a Hirbawi kiffeyeh. 🇵🇸

A big hit

I got this kufiya as a gift for my mother like a month ago and I swear I haven't seen her leave the house without it since then. She's very proud of her kufiya and standing in solidarity with the Palestinian people. Much love from NY.
